Directorate of Research

The Directorte of Research at University of Kota has nurtured excellence in research, and creative activity across the entire University. It has a primary goal to develop excellent research environment within the university and its affiliated institutions. Directorate continuously engages within the development and review research policies as per directions of UGC and Government. After qualifying the entrance examination of Ph.D. by the candidate the Directorate of Research allocated supervisors to the candidates for the research and continuously monitor the progress of the research during his/her Ph.D in various faculties. On completion of the research work, Directorate made arrangements for evaluation of the thesis and their after arrangement of examination of the successful candidates in evaluation. . The office has administrative responsibility for several independent, interdisciplinary research Faculties, as well as Departments which provide support for the research during Student Ph.D. 

M.Phil./Ph.D. Programme 
University of Kota, Kota offers M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree program in accordance to UGC 
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree Regulation, 2009). 

Procedure for Admission to Ph.D.:

  • A University level entrance test for admission to the Ph.D. program is conducted in an academic session depending upon the vacancies for Ph.D.

  • The candidates qualifying the entrance test and the candidates exempted from entrance test are required to face an interview to discuss their research interest/s followed by the allotment of supervisor/s accordingly. The allotment of supervisor shall not be left to the individual student or teacher
