Problems of corrosion and their mitigation to increase life of the industrial set ups. Computational - 1. Advanced process control techniques and process controlled equipments. 2. Use of Computer for Industrial chemists, Internet application in industrial process development. Future programmes for Advance studies and Research : 1. Research in the area of high capacity fuel with minimum pollutants. 2. Improvement in grading of petrol and other petroleum products. 3. Development of a common effluent treatment plant based on advance color removal techniques for dye houses. 4. Development of low cost adsorbents such as fly ash, activated carbons etc for waste water treatment in industries. 5. Reutilization of Stone slurry for making binding materials for construction as well as few other novel uses. 6. Solid waste management in industries as well as city waste management. 7. Techniques for water purification and reuse in industrial sectors. 8. Development of natural pesticides and insecticides to replace non degradable highly harmful chemical pesticides and insecticides used in the present agricultural practice. 9. Utilization of fly ash in some other novel ways such as development of catalyst used inorganic synthesis, as an adsorbent for removal of color from waste water of dye industries etc. 10. Development and designing of anti-fertility drugs. 11. Utilization of solar energy for waste treatment and color removal from effluents of dye houses. 12. Develop diversified applications of green chemistry to find an alternative to highly corrosive, harmful and waste generating chemical process. (Preliminary work has already been carried out in the area of generating low cost, environmental friendly chemical routes of synthesis). Courses :
Department organizes seminars, conferences, workshops, group discussions, case studies, case development top business stories, event management etc with a view to give exposure and enrich the subject knowledge of students. Opportunities of participation in Fests and events organized by different business schools and institutions is also a made available to the students to ensure their all round development. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* |
