MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

PROGRAMME – 2007 -09

University of Kota, a statutory body, recognized by UGC and AIU was established in 2003 under state ACT, has introduced a two year full time MBA Program in academic session 2007 – 08  under the auspices of Department of Commerce and Management. The Program is being run under semester scheme consisting of 4 semesters. The program has proved much popular among students and in the I year it got the students intake up to its full capacity (60) through RMAT. Students securing good ranks in RMAT opted the course and sought the admission to MBA program.

University Department of commerce and management is well equipped with latest gadgets like, LCD and OHP projectors, Laptop, VCD, etc., which are extensively used by faculty as teaching and for MBA students. Well experienced, qualified and talented faculty engages classes of MBA Program. In addition to faculty engaged on regular bases renounced personalities and professionals in the field of management are invited time to time to enloguten  the students. To develop soft skills among the student’s special arrangements are made and experts in the field of personality and soft skills development are invited time to time for overall personality development of students.

Department organizes seminars, conferences, workshops, group discussions, case studies, case development top business stories, event management etc with a view to give exposure and enrich the subject knowledge of students. Opportunities of participation in Fests and events organized by different business schools and institutions is also a made available to the students to ensure their all round development.

Department takes special care of ensuring Industry-Students interaction. Industrial visits of students are organized and persons holding responsible positions in industrial units are invited to interact with students. Some of such dignitaries  are Sh. M.K. Nepalia DGM (Personnel)  Sh. Ashok Saxena GM Personnel Sh. MS Rau DGM Training DSCL, Sh. K.K. Kaul vice-president and unit head DSCL Kota, Sh. RMS Nimesh GM Production, IL Kota etc.

University also provides excellent placement faculties and establishes a separate training and placement call for students. A number of companies have shown interest in campus placement of management students, which includes ICICI Prudential, HDFC Standard Life, MAX New York Life, TATA AIG, Reliance Capital, DSCL, CFCL, NTPC.

University is having a central library with good collection of books and journal pertainging to subjects. Books borrowing facility is also extended to the students, and they have free access to the books and journals. Besides this university is having a well furnished and equipped computer lab with adequate number of computers, Computer in the lab are connected with the internet.

At present MBA classes are being run by the university in its ESI campus, which is situated Jhalawar Road, opposite to airodrame, for which conveyance faculty is available from all corners of the city university.

Department of commerce and management is having its own faculty. Department is being  headed by Prof. K.C. Goyal. The prime strength of the department is its strong faculty base and well experienced and qualified guest faculty.
